Hebrews 4:16

16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

It's all about our position, not our performance

Romans 6:1

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?

Isaiah 57:15

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Matthew 3:3

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said,

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord;
    make his paths straight.’”

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.

James 4:6

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

If we are not POOR in spirit, He will not Pour in spirit.

Corrie Ten Boom, "if you look at the world (others), you'll be distressed.  If you look within, you'll be depressed.  If you look at God, you'll be at rest."
