3. Pursue Evangelism
“THE GREAT COMMISSION”

(Matthew 28:18-20).

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in
heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to
the very end of the age’”

4. Pursue Fasting and Praying

Matthew 17:18-21

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he
departed out of him: and the child was
cured from that very hour.

19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart,
and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your
unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have
faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say
unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall
be impossible unto you.

21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by
prayer and fasting.

5. BIBLICAL TRAINING

Deuteronomy 6:1-9

1 Now these are the commandments, the
statutes, and the judgments, which the
LORD your God commanded to teach you,
that ye might do them in the land whither
ye go to possess it

2 That you might fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and
his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and
thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be
prolonged.

3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well
with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy
fathers hath promised thee, in the land that flows with milk and
honey.

4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

5 And you shall love the LORD thy God with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

6 And these words, which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:

7 “You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk
of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by
the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

8 “You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall
be as frontals on your forehead.

9 “You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and
on your gates.

The Hebrew word teach here
means TRAIN God’s goal in
commanding Moses to teach
here is not to fill their heads
with new information, but to
change their conduct.
